Description
In this 3 1/2 hour course participants will learn about the investment banking industry, the role of the investment bank and what they do, and their main lines of business. First, participants will learn what investment banking is. Then they will learn about the regulation of investment banks including regulatory bodies and their role in investment banking, key legislation governing investment banking, and key changes in the industry. Next, participants will learn about some key advisory services performed by investment banks followed by a lesson on equity and debt underwriting activities. They will then learn about trading activities and the various product types that are transacted by investment banks. The course will end with a look at some other services offered by investment banks.
