Learners will gain an understanding of the meaning of sustainability and its importance in global society. The course reviews a recent history of key sustainability events and discusses how a myriad of factors and complex systems work together to shape today’s sustainability discussion. Those who complete this course should gain an understanding of the interdependency between our world and its social, environmental, and economic dimensions as they learn about how the public sector, private sector and individuals are addressing issues of sustainability. The course probes learners to consider the many challenges each sector of society faces daily.
Learning Objectives
